Corporate Accounting seeks to provide the senior management of Fidelity Investments and the operating management of the subsidiaries it supports with timely and accurate financial information prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and in a manner consistent with the financial policies of the corporation.

The position will be part of Corporate Accounting's Financial Risk and Controls team which is responsible for developing and running Fidelity's financial reporting risk management programs. These programs are designed to provide tools for Fidelity's business groups to effectively identify areas of financial risk within their business as well as the process to review mitigating controls.

Position Responsibilities

* Develop an understanding and documentation of the intercompany accounting process for Fidelity's regulated entities

* Assist in the implementation of tools to monitor the accuracy and provide variance analysis of monthly intercompany activity

* Review and assist in the implementation of analytical tools to monitor the accuracy of monthly settlement activities across business groups related to Fidelity's funds business

* Assist in the firm wide rollout of consistent controls documentation & testing program

* Respond to business unit financial risk and controls initiatives as necessary

Qualifications

Education and Experience


* Accounting degree

* CPA and or masters degree in accounting preferred

* Six years of relevant experience with at least two years in a management role

* Experience with a major public accounting firm preferred

Skills and Knowledge


* Ability to manage a team, see the big picture and plan ahead

* Strong interpersonal skills. Able to participate in and / or lead cross company activities

* Ability to multi task, work under pressure and hit deadlines

* Project management experience

* Able to think and act independently
