The Learning and Development Senior Performance Consultant's primary responsibility is to proactively identify training needs, present recommendations and deliver learning solutions to address performance gaps within various Fidelity Investments business units. These learning solutions are designed to assist the business units in achieving their goals. Strong business partnerships, relationship management and strategic consultation with key stakeholders and senior management is critical as these business units are complex, evolving and focused on performance improvement. The Senior Performance Consultant is required to possess common business and organizational development practices of performance-based strategies, tools and techniques to support building workforce capability.

The Senior Performance Consultant is responsible for overall quality and measurability of learning and development services and products. In addition, the Senior Performance Consultant is responsible for ensuring instructional objectives meet the criteria for training, as well as, for defining success measures tied to the business goals in partnership with senior management. The Senior Performance Consultant will serve as a program manager for large scale and highly visible projects which can impact the employee population at large.

Primary Responsibilities

* Proactively work with business partners to define and resolve workplace performance challenges and opportunities. Clearly define when training is not the solution and make appropriate recommendations.

* Work with business partners to define learning solution objectives to ensure the impact can be measured and is linked to business unit goals.

* Lead business planning discussions with senior management to determine learning and development related strategic priorities.

* Actively manage the portfolio of work for their business partners through thoughtful communication, marketing, tracking and responsiveness.

* Serve as an escalation point of contact for senior management.

* Provide coaching to junior teammates.

* Provides leadership and direction to high profile projects by mapping out strategic objectives.

* Serve as Learning & Development Consultant when needed which may include acting as the sole provider of a learning solution (project management, design and delivery).

Qualifications

Education and Experience


* 10+ years experience in managing customer relationships

* 10+ years experience with process instructional design solutions

* 7+ years experience in building organizational capability

* Large scale project management experience including process re-engineering (i.e. Lean Methodology)

* Demonstrated success leading initiatives within an operations organization

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office & MS Project Applications

* Bachelor Degree

* Master Degree in training related discipline preferred

* Financial services industry experience preferred

* eLearning/distance learning experience preferred
