Description
This position is responsible for the tax compliance services provided by the Alternative Product Group (APG) within the Fidelity Pricing and Cash Management Services (FPCMS) tax group. This is a leadership role that will require developing/maintaining client relationships; prioritizing deliverables; managing staff; and coordinating intake or new products. The products serviced by the APG group include: Canadian Mutual Fund Trusts managed by Fidelity Investments Canada, Non-registered U.S. partnerships, and U.S. partnerships registered a Investment Company Act of 1940 under master-feeder arrangements
Fidelity Pricing & Cash Management Services (FPCMS) provides accounting and investment management support services to Fidelity mutual funds and other investment vehicles, as well as to many Fidelity business partners.
Primary Responsibilities
· Directly managing tax compliance of 40 Act Master-Feeder products and increase coordination with 40 Act tax group
· Provide point of contact for all clients
· Manage emerging issues posed by regulatory issues; new products and investments
· Expand existing relationship with compliance unit located in India
· Serve as leader a nine person Boston based team
Qualifications
Education and Experience
· Minimum of seven years of investment company tax experience required
· Bachelors degree in accounting
· CPA and/or advanced degree preferred
Skills and Knowledge
· Knowledge of investment company products and financial instruments
· Able to frame complex operational & tax issues and propose solutions
· Able to educate and persuade at senior management level
· Able to move from strategy to execution
· Leadership and management - able to lead a work group; set goals and priorities, provide coaching and feedback, maintain a positive work environment
· Experience with Canadian Mutual Fund Trusts not required; On the job training provided
