Position Overview
This individual will join the Prime Services team interacting with both internal users and hedge fund clients as needed. The team operates in a fast paced and challenging Prime Brokerage environment. This individual will play an integral role in delivering products solutions supporting our client facing products and services.
Position Description
* Delivering products and services throughout the product lifecycle from product planning, design, development, implementation, and on-going maintenance.
* Gathering and prioritizing product and high level customer requirements, defining the product vision and future release strategy.
* Act as a product leader and expert of our Security Reference Data, Corporate Action processing, Portfolio Accounting System Geneva, and custody account information
* Deliver recommendations and lead cross-functional decision making
* Gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision and release strategy, and working closely with engineering, to deliver leading edge online experiences.
* Translates business requirements to product-level requirements, and works with development team(s) to execute business vision on tight deadlines to produce outstanding consumer web experiences.
* Work closely with the UI/Design team to bridge UI/design and engineering work effort
* Manages the user testing and translates customer support feedback into feature/function requirements for subsequent product releases. Serves as primary product interface into the technologies organizations or vendors
* Prioritize among competing opportunities, balance consumer needs with business priorities, and articulate the rationale behind decisions
Qualifications
Education and Experience
* 5+ years of product development and management experience
* Bachelor's degree
* Uses advanced Prime Brokerage industry knowledge coupled with business experience to bring new products and services to market
Skills and Knowledge
* High-energy performer with ability to be responsive to Shift:ing business and customer needs.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to create strong team, internal and customer relationships
* Excellent project management and tracking skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Strong facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
* Presentation skills a plus
* Experience with portfolio accounting and custodial data is required
* Experience with internet platforms, distributed applications, and protocols a plus
* Experience with Securities Finance, International and Options technologies a plus
