Position Description

Fidelity Investments Institutional Services Company (FIIS) provides investment management services through investment professionals at financial institutions nationwide, including wirehouses, regional and independent broker/dealers, banks, trust companies and insurance companies. The Cash Business Unit (CBU) within FIIS is structured to provide liquidity and cash management solutions to the Institutional marketplace. Our charter is to position Fidelity as the leader in cash management services by providing clients on a direct or intermediary basis with the most comprehensive solutions for short term investing. This is accomplished by providing clients with Fidelity's leadership in Institutional Money Market funds, superior client service and technology solutions. This Vice President role is a Field Sales role based in the Houston metro area covering clients and prospects to include Corporations, Non/Profits, Endowments, Higher Ed, and Government Institutions.

Primary Responsibilities

* Meet/exceed specified asset growth and new client goals in the assigned territory for Fidelity Institutional Money Market funds.

* Meet/exceed activity goals associated with existing client maintenance and growth, and prospecting for new business opportunities.

* Partner with the other Fidelity Companies to help introduce a full line of Fidelity products and services to clients and prospects.

* Cover all relationships in assigned territory in an efficient and cost effective manner. Conduct on-going, proactive activities, including frequent client visits, frequent telephone contact, regular client entertainment, formal presentations and proposals.

* Must routinely collaborate with Cash Business Unit Senior Managers, Inside Sales, Marketing, Product Management, etc. to maximize client sales coverage, support, and sales results.

* Field wholesaling/sales position requires extensive Travel: throughout territory.

Qualifications

Education and Experience


* BS or BA required.

* Series 7 and 63 licenses required.

* Must have a minimum of 10+ years of experience in the financial services industry.

* Ideal candidate will have 10+years of successful Institutional sales and/or field sales experience (preferably in the Money Market fund industry)

Skills and Knowledge


* Must have demonstrated both successful sales track record and territory management experience.

* Position requires (50-60%) overnight travel and the ability to work effectively from home office.

* Must have in-depth knowledge of Fidelity and competitor products.

* Requires investment industry expertise, client business knowledge, and understanding of competitor strategies, strengths and vulnerabilities.

* Must demonstrate excellent stand-up presentation, communication and listening skills.

* Must possess excellent time management and organizational skills and computer literacy.
