Human Resources Manager / Supervisor Job

The HR Consultant role is responsible for the delivery and execution of HR programs and services with direction from the HR Leadership team. The role supports the HR business plan by executing key initiatives and processes. Incumbents use their knowledge of HR to provide solutions impacting the workforce and in support of key business initiatives.



This position supports our Personal and Workplace Investing (PWI) business. PWI helps millions of people save and invest through individual retail accounts and workplace savings plans. PWI builds lifetime relationships with customers and provides employees with cost-effective, integrated employee benefit solutions. The company serves customers online, over the phone and through a nationwide network of investor centers. As of March 31, 2009, PWI administered over $1.3 trillion in customer assets.



Primary Responsibilities





· Ensures consistency and alignment with regional and organizational Human Resources/Business Unit (HR/BU) initiatives

· Tracks progress of HR/BU initiatives against metrics and milestones

· May be accountable for site integration of HR/BU strategy at line level

· Manage change management project deliverables and may be engaged in implementation

· With select leaders, may actively reinforce learning objectives and outcomes of formal initiatives through coaching.

· Focus on the transactional elements of compensation projects: review trends, surface issues, resource problems, deliver projects & integrate at line level

· Refer employees and managers to HR Solutions for assistance with work-related issues

· Manages organizational design project deliverables

· Tracks and monitors execution of performance management process and line business results

· In partnership with business unit integrate the strategic Work Force Plan (WFP) and staffing strategy with the consideration of openings. Understand WFP & be able to articulate and translate as needed against openings

· Supports Talent Management and Succession Planning and may be asked to represent BU assessments at the site/regional

Education and Experience




· Bachelors Degree, MBA preferred

· Some HR Generalist experience required



Skills and Knowledge




· Ability to understands a segment of the business and organizational intra-dependencies and applies understanding to influence business decisions

· Experience in applying knowledge of HR to specific needs of the business

· Skills in Project Management - providing direction to work/project/process team, identifying capabilities required within for project, and development of plans

· Demonstrated ability to understand business needs and how to leverage expertise and partner with Core HR to design/deliver solutions

· Strong organizational, communication and customer service skills
