Position Description

The Fidelity Consulting Services Group is comprised of over 200 professionals who help clients solve complex (or simple) problems. We offer a broad range of services that touch on every area of benefits design, strategy, funding, communication and delivery. Most of us come from other leading consulting firms and all have experience in multiple industries. We focus on large companies (more than 5000 employees) but have many valued relationships with much smaller organizations.

The Senior Associate position is within Fidelity Consulting Services Group . Fidelity Consulting Services Group provides benefits outsourcing and consulting services to Fortune 500 companies. The benefits outsourcing business encompasses Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution, Health & Insurance, and Human Resources/Payroll administration & services.

The Senior Associate works with Consultants to provide advice to clients regarding their benefit programs with an emphasis on health and welfare plans. The work is largely quantitative, analyzing employers' plan funding, vendor strategies and employee engagement initiatives. We work with Analysts to develop their financial, business and consultative skills. Overtime, we hope Analysts will acquire the necessary expertise and confidence to become lead consultants, working directly with and advising chief human resources and financial officers.

Primary Responsibilities

* Analyzing employee census information from clients

* Working with health plans to solicit client data and test for reasonability

* Developing complex spreadsheets to project benefit costs and model alternatives

* Preparing reports for client presentations

* Completing required compliance tasks (government forms and non-discrimination testing).

* Special projects such as plan designs, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and early retirement packages.

Qualifications

Education and Experience


* Bachelor's degree in mathematics, actuarial science or quantitative subject

* EA, ASA, preferred

Skills and Knowledge


* Excellent oral and written communications skills

* Familiarity with spreadsheet and database programs

* Analytical and problem solving skills

* A genuine interest in learning

* Courses in business, accounting or economics a plus

* 3-5 years actuarial work experience required
