Position Description
As part of the Solution Delivery organization, the Business Analysis function is responsible for delivering quality products to customers by understanding product strategy and customer needs, supporting business cases, developing business requirements, and supporting product development and deployment.
Under minimal supervision, the Senior Business Analyst analyzes business systems and/or business processes to identify user needs, document requirements, and address operations/process issues/improvements to accomplish business objectives. The Senior Business Analyst has a thorough understanding of the business, industry, and/or product, is familiar with the systems used, and is responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and implementing improvements to business systems and processes. Work may include financial data for trends, issues, etc. also may design and develop spreadsheets and databases that gather, store and report analytical data to support a variety of delivery process and measurement initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
* Establish, manage, and own end to end project plan small development projects including; Project Planning/Tracking; Status Reporting; Issue Management/Escalation/Resolution; Change Control; Quality Control; Risk Management; Financial Management; and Resource Management.
* Participate in the creation or management of the following applicable Project Life Cycle deliverables; Project Charter (Project Planning & Initiation-PPI); Business Requirements Document (BRD/ARL); Service Model; Business Case, including Cost Benefit Analysis (if applicable); User Acceptance Testing (UAT); Rollout Procedures (Transition/TRA)
* Participates in the review of; Systems Prospectus (Systems Requirements Analysis-SRA); Systems Delivery Spec (SDS); User Procedure Documents (UPD); Training Documents
* Assists in/leads analysis of current processes/procedures and the development of recommendations for process improvements; Seeks opportunities to provide value added/integrated solutions to meet business needs.
* Performs feasibility and cost/benefits analysis as it relates to business needs
* Identifies and recommends product enhancements and best practices in applicable product category in collaboration with the Product Manager.
* Creates current and future state process flows, performs gap analysis, and documents recommended solutions
* Proactively assume the responsibility to continuously improve the product development/process & measurement process by understanding existing processes, tools and procedures to leverage new procedures and technologies
Qualifications
Education and Experience
* Experience in translating business requirements to technical resources (internal and external) in supporting the project - strong documentation skills
* Strong utilization of Project Life Cycle methodology; active participant in one or more full life cycle projects
* Experience with basic process redesign methodologies.
* 5-7 years work experience
* Bachelor's degree preferred
* CRM experience required
Skills/Knowledge
* Functional knowledge of system and technology alternatives
* Broad knowledge of the business unit's functions and applications
* Collaboration, negotiating and influencing skills.
* Demonstrated strength in requirements analysis and use case development; experience with large-scale systems development.
* Ability to analyze business systems and/or business processes to identify user needs, document requirements, and address operation/process issues/improvements to accomplish business objectives.
* Strong knowledge of the Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) Methodology
* Knowledge of client services and business functions
* Understanding of analysis and project life cycle methodologies (data flow diagrams, case tool analysis, work & process flow diagrams, FSDM, RAD).
* Working knowledge of business process to be able to effectively drive solutions as experienced in large corporate environments.
* Knowledge of MS Office
* Strong presentation and facilitation skills
