The Team

This role on the Asset Management Accounting & Controllership Team is responsible for ensuring activities are captured and transactions are recorded correctly in the G/L and subsequently the financial statements. An extremely high degree of accuracy and precision is required in this role.

The Expertise You Have

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance

3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in asset management

Detail-oriented with solid understanding of business and financial concepts and accounting

Ability to cultivate strong business relationships

Ability to utilize financial systems and reporting tools; strong knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel)

Audit background or experience working with auditors

You have a strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices and internal controls

You are highly effective through attention to detail while maintaining a broad view of business objectives

You have excellent written and verbal communication skills

You are able to create and maintain strong relationships with business partners

You understand the importance of confidentiality when working with sensitive information

You have high proficiency in MS Excel. Word and PowerPoint skills are a plus

Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines at each month end

Highly motivated, flexible, quality focused, team player with strong organizational skills

The Value You Deliver

Work closely with finance and other business unit accountants to ensure the transactions for your legal entities are being accurately recorded in the G/L

Actively participate in month end accounting close, such as preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis for multiple Asset Management legal entities

Provide business unit(s) with well written financial commentary on monthly results as well as the account reconciliations

Assist in the annual audit process with external auditors, including the preparation of financial statements and audit schedules

Participate in the response to inquiries from management, auditors and regulatory agencies

Participate in the development and completion of special projects as assigned
